Why recycle your mattress?

Mattresses are one of the biggest contributors to landfill waste, and because of their size and materials, they don’t break down easily.

Instead of letting them take up space in a landfill, recycling allows the individual components - foam, metal springs, and fabric - to be repurposed or disposed of responsibly. Many of these materials can be given a second life in insulation, carpet underlay, or even new products.

By choosing to recycle you’re making sure your old mattress doesn't harm the environment.

How does it work?

1. Add the mattress removal service to your basket and enter the collection address as your delivery address at checkout - this is where the mattress will be picked up from.

2. Within one working day, you’ll receive a text or a phone call to arrange a collection date that suits you.

3. The day before the pickup, you’ll get a text with a 2-hour time slot, so you know when to expect the collection and can have the mattress ready.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Are stained mattresses accepted?

We understand that mattresses naturally show signs of wear over time, and we accept any mattress that is in an off-the-bed condition. However, we do ask that mattresses are not mistreated or heavily soiled, as the collection team may refuse to remove such items due to biohazard concerns.

Which mattresses are not accepted?

The only mattresses we cannot collect are wet or heavily soiled mattresses, so please ensure yours is kept dry and not left outside before pickup. If a mattress is excessively soiled, the collection team may refuse removal due to biohazard concerns.

Will it be collected from the room of choice?

Yes! Our mattress removal service is handled by a two-person team, who will collect the mattress from any room in your home, whether upstairs or downstairs. We just ask that the pathway is clear for them in advance. You can also choose for them to collect from your door - it's up to you.

How can I prepare the mattress for collection?

Please remove all bedding before collection. No additional preparation is required, as the collection team will collect your mattress either from the door or from the bedroom, depending on your preferences.

Do I need to be home for the collection?

Yes, you will need to be present at the time of collection to allow the team to access the mattress.

Do they collect on weekends?

Yes, collections are available on Saturdays, but there are no collections on Sundays.

How long will it take until my mattress is collected?

Collection times depend on demand, but on average, the earliest available dates will be 3-5 working days after purchase. You’ll receive an SMS or phone call to choose your preferred collection date.
